A veterinary dermatologist has to go to 4 years of undergraduate school, 4 years of veterinary school, 1 year rotating small animal internship, 2-3 year dermatology residency, qualify for certifying test by accomplishing required publication, and must pass all 4 sections of a 2 day board certification exam.
